A great place to stay - the proprietors are extremely warm and friendly - and although they do speak very little English, I found it reasonably OK to communicate with them with the little Spanish I could use. They were very helpful and gave a lot of information about Granada, how to get around, visiting the Alhambra etc.
Breakfast is do-it-yourself with food and drinks provided - the kitchen is available to use through the day which was good for preparing sandwiches etc.

About Hostal Moni Albayzin
Hostal Moni is located in Alabayzin (Albaicin), the most romantic quarter of Granada. A renovated traditional house, it has been a home for generations of Jews, Muslims and Christians at the time of Al Andalus".
In the quarter you can find bars that offer the typical breakfast, meals and delicious 'tapas' to enjoy with wine or beer.
You don't need to leave the quarter to do shopping, here you can find supermarkets, butcher's, fish monger's, souvenir shops, and the street market on Plaza Larga. This market not only sells fruit and vegetables but also good value clothes, shoes and flowers.
In Granada you do not need a car, you can go everywhere on foot or by bus. From Albayzin there are buses to go downtown and to the Alhambra.
We have parking spaces available, 2 common terraces with magnificent views of the neighbourhood and Generalife de la Alhambra.
The rooms are equipped with double or single beds, TV and some with air conditioning. In one of the terraces there is a washing machine available for guests.

The roof garden is particularly nice and I had several good conversations with other guests there and was able to use for washing and drying clothes.
The hostal is well situated in Albayzin with shops, restaurants and bars just 1 or 2 mins walk and 5 mins walk from St Nicholas' Square with brilliant view of The Alhambra.

Directions
By car:
To enter Albayzin, take the Murcia old road, then the exit 253 from autovia A-92 (El Fargue, Granada Este). From Granada center, go up Murcia old road (towards El Fargue). You will be in Albayzin in 5 minutes. Once in this area, take the first street on the right (San Bartolomé).
Attention! Entrance to Albayzin by car is not allowed at every hour without permission!
You can only enter with the card from 11:00 h to 14:00 h and from 20:00 to 24:00 h.
Call us at the number in your email confirmation for us to come and open the barrier.
You can park the car in front of the house.
The taxis can enter this quarter any time.
By bus:
From Granada center, take bus 31 from Gran Via de Colón or Plaza Nueva to Albayzin. Get off at the stop 'Albayzin'.
