Receptionist very unpleasant, gets extremely annoyed every time you ask him anything and you don't speak Spanish.

Customer service non existant, they don't reply on emails and don't speak English when you call over the phone to confirm your booking.

Suitable only for travellers interested to have a bed for a few days in central Madrid and absolutely nothing else.

Best to be avoided.

About Hostal Xucar

Hostal Xucar is located in Madrid old quarters, at the heart of the historic part of the city, just a step from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. The Hostal is also within easy walking distance of the main museums in Madrid such as the Prado Art Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Contemporary Art Museum. Hostal Xucar has single, twins and triple rooms ,clean and comfortable, with heat, and shared bathrooms.

Advise about arrival time.

Pay cash on arrival.

Check in time at 1pm.

Check out time at 12pm.

Directions

If you do not have much luggage the best way to come from the Airport is
by metro (tube/underground).
In Aeropuerto metro station get Line 8 (pink) towards Nuevos Ministerios
and get off in the last stop 'Nuevos Ministerios'.

There take line 10 (dark blue) bound to 'Puerta del Sur' and get off in
'Tribunal' (3 stops).

In Tribunal metro station get line 1 (light blue) towards 'Valdearros' and get
off in 'Tirso de Molina' (3 stops).

Tirso de Molina is the nearest metro station to the Hostal, get out by the
exit 'Calle Magdalena'(the name of our street) and go towards Apolo
Theatre, walk straight and the Hostal is at no.28
