About Malaga and the hostel :

Picasso's Corner is the only hostel located in the historical center of Malaga, perfectly located in the Merced square (Plaza la Merced) behind the Alcazaba, Gibralfaro Castle, the Cathedral and 1 minutes walk from Picasso's House and Museum.

Have you ever been to Picasso's town? Did you know that Malaga is the second city in Spain chosen by foreign students to learn Spanish?

Malaga is literally bursting with sites of cultural and historical interest which, added to its year-round mild temperatures, its sunny beaches, charming bars with excellent tapas, and, of course, the awe-inspiring Picasso Museum, will keep you busy for days...

We are perfectly situated, with easy access to the street Marques de Larios, where the most exclusive shops in Malaga are located, and the city's lively night-life.

And, naturally within such a friendly environment, at our hostel you can make new friends with whom you could travel throughout the unforgettable landscape of Andalucia, to Sevilla, Cordoba, Ronda and Granada, not to mention the white villages of the Axarquia or the pure mountain air and wide range of outdoor activities of El Chorro.

At Picasso's Corner, you'll feel right at home. You are free to use the Internet or to watch a DVD film or rest in the terrace roof top on those days you don't feel like going out. You'll have free run of the kitchen where you can serve yourself free coffee or tea any time of the day and toast and jam, ham and cheese for breakfast.

The common area and the bar have good cocktails and good times. The sofas are always a nice spot to hang out, meet people, share experiences, relax and smoke a Shisha.

Make our hostel your home, we love having you around.

You are very welcome to use our fully equipped guest kitchen and not to forget our famous disco showers with light, radio and water coming from every direction.

Our international staff speak Spanish, English, French, Swedish, German, Portugues and a little bit of Italian & Chines. Though we always find a way to communicate sometimes even with hands and feet.

We´ll help you with your travel plans, answer all your questions and take you out to the bars around Malaga..

Directions

From the bus or train station, take bus 3 or 4 ( 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.) to Paseo del Parque When you get off the bus, cross this big avenue. Follow the street that is behind the tourist office. It leads along a high wall, which is part of the walk to the Alcazaba. At the end of this street going to the right you will see Calle Alcazabilla , a wide pedestrian street with the roman theatre on your right. At the end of Calle Alcazabilla you will get to Plaza de la Merced (Mercedes Square).Crossing the square diagonally you will see the Picasso Foundation and a bar called Weekend that has an Elvis doll playing the guitar outside during opening hours. This street is Calle San Juan de Letrn where the hostel is located. On the other end of our street is the Cervantes Theatre.

From the airport, take bus number 19 (7 a.m. to 12 midnight) toward Paseo del Parque. Even though most people will get off the bus, don't get off at the central bus station, this is not the final stop.
