Palma Playa Hotel - Los Cactus, Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Short distance (€15.00) from airport, and, once I found my bearings, very handy for 15 and 25 bus routes from/to Palma town. Hotel itself is just five minute walk from beach and there are handy "Supermercado" close by. This is a quiet area and a favourite for German tourists for whom the hotel caters and has a "package" relationship with a number of the well known German tour companies. Having said this the staff were all helpful, spoke some English and with my poor Spanish we were able to get understand each other.
Hotel was clean, rooms comfortable although beds were a little on the short side (and I'm only 182cm tall). I was on 5th floor but at the back with no real view. A/C was very good and there was a lot of storage space in the room.
Breakfast was "contintental" buffet style, there was a toaster and it was working.
Pool was clean and pool area tidy with a limited number of sun loungers although not many were used by residents who went to the nearby beach.
All in all sut what I wanted for a short business/holiday break and good value at €36 a night including breakfast. I would certainly stay again if I was on holiday only. It was a bit far from Palma where I had business to attend, but again the bus service is very good.
