Excelent location in old town , but noisy drinking street. Not cheap, but compared to price level in San Sepastian, OK.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Pension Aries is in an excellent location on San Jeronimo right in the middle of Parte Vieja, next to the beautiful Plaza de la Constitution which is an excellent spot for a glass of wine and some people watching. The Pension is basic but adequate. The rooms are very clean, with big beds but not a lot of space for storage or hanging clothes (we stayed there for a week in a twin room and unpacked everything, which equals a lot x 2 chicas!). There are two bathrooms, also very clean and even when the Pension was full there was no queueing for the bathroom (there are no en-suite rooms). Plenty of hot water and towels always. I thought the basic room was a little expensive at €70 per night but for the great location and wonderful owners, it was worth it

The best thing about Pension Aries is the owners, Luis and his lovely wife. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They have a little english and helped us with everything from adapters for the hair dryer, to finding and booking a "sideria", nothing was any problem and all questions were answered with a smile and "de nada".

Overall a great place to stay! Location is in the Parte Vieja, which is where all the pinxtos and partying is. 10min walk to the beach and other must sees in San Sebastian. If you want to be where the party is then this is where to stay. Great place to crash, but you will not get any sleep if you stay here on a Saturday night. The party lasts till dawn, so if you stay up and party you will be fine, otherwise find a different location to stay that is not in the Parte Vieja.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Nice hotel. A bit overpriced, since bathroom is shared among the other guests.
The host is very nice.
I'd suggest some conventions for the parking in the boulevard (20+ € per day is a bit expensive)

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

This is a well-run place with friendly owners who do what they can to ensure that you enjoy your stay. Free wifi is a good perk. Bed was comfortable, but be forewarned that there is no air conditioning (if that matters to you). Convenient location in old town San Sebastian, near lots of shops and restaurants, as well as bars. There is a certain charm to the rooms.
