Latest Review for Oasis Backpackers Hostel Sevilla

I was located in a nearby building but I couldn't have had more luck. Spacious rooms, a writing table, a kitchen of my own and a clean and nice bathroom. I liked the bar facility very much as well, with friendly staff.

About Oasis Backpackers Hostel Sevilla

Internet Access Breakfast Included 24 hour reception

Welcome to Oasis Backpackers Hostel Sevilla!

Just at Plaza Encarnación 29 behind the church, right in the center of town.

Seville has all the great things Madrid and Barcelona have been trying to leave behind for decades – siestas, bullfights, tapas, flamenco – and it is incredibly sexy and beautiful for it. A city where people are united by tapas and divided by football and where the ghosts of Spain walk the streets, be they fictional, like Don Juan and Carmen or historical, like Cervantes and Columbus.

Winding your way through the narrow streets gives you the feeling of being in a completely different universe; The crowds are welcoming and friendly, and bullfighting; a religion. Being in Seville will leave you feeling in-love and content.

Somewhere between the world's third largest cathedral and what was once the tallest building in the world, Giralda, lies your Oasis Backpackers Hostel, located smack in the cultural and historic heart of Sevilla. Whether you want to head out to the Alcazar, Casa de Pilatos, Archive of the Indies (where the historical records of the American continent are kept) or wander through the mass of palaces and parks, you are just minutes walk from everywhere you want to be.

If you want to take a break from the road and bask in the warm Andulacian sun you can relax on our rooftop terrace, which overlooks historic Sevilla. If staying in isn't your thing head out to Alfalfa, famous for it's after hours activity, which is within stumbling distance.

Our staff well versed in the art of traveling will help you fall in love with the city. Whether you are searching for the best tapas bars, the duende of Flamenco, or just want to use our windows to peer out onto the Semana Santa Procession, we can help.

With never ending hot water, high pressured showers, 9 inches of mattress heaven, clean dorms, cooking facilities, roof top terrace with swimming pool, open-air lounge and laundry service (we even fold your clothes) we'll take care of you. Whatever your looking for while travelling, Oasis Sevilla is bound to tickle the taste buds of backpackers on the hunt for something new.

We also keep you connected with free and incredibly fast ADSL internet, Wi-Fi access, Phone cards and available phone for keeping in contact with the family.

Free: Breakfast, 24 hour ADSL internet access, coffee & tea, Wi-Fi connection, really amazing views of the city from our roof-top terrace, kitchen and even the swimming pool, air conditioning in every room, travel information desk, tapas tour, sheets, loads of ambiance and general good cheer.

Directions

The hostel is located in the exact center of the city, so is possible to walk everywhere within 15 to 20 minutes, the only thing that you do need is a map as the streets get really messy, your main reference point is Plaza Encarnacion where we are at no. 29 1/2, just next behind the church. Welcome!
From bus station San Sebastian
Take the tram from the bus station until you are at Plaza Nueva (It is a huge plaza with a monument of a horse in the center - you can't miss it.) Cross the plaza and take the street (Calle Granada) on the left side of the big government building. Shortly you find a tourism office on your left. Stop and collect information if you wish. Then take the street behind the Tourist Office (Calle Sierpes) to your left. Walk until the end of Calle Sierpes and take a right on to Calle Martin Villa/ Laraña, then walk for 2 minutes until you reach Plaza Encarnación which is on your right. Walk to the right hand corner of the Plaza, behind the church we are at no. 29 1/2. Now you just need to walk 5m further to go around the corner, and there we are, right behind the church. Welcome!

From the train station Santa Justa
In the train station, take the escalator up to the center of the station. Exit through the doors marked B or C. Walk along the front of the station past the taxis and cross the parking, to the bus stops. There take bus No. 32 to Plaza Encarnacion and get off at the last stop. Now we are only 10 meters away at no. 29 1/2, right behind to the church. Welcome!

From Bus Station Plaza de Armas by bus:
Exit the station through the main exit, go down the stairs and cross the big avenue with the tunnel in the middle. Once you crossed it and are in front of the shopping center head to the left and take bus no. B2 to Plaza Encarnacion. Get off at the last stop. Now we are only 10 meters away at no. 29 1/2, right next to the church. Welcome!
The bus route is very indirect and takes a long time, so if you prefer, take a taxi from the stand to Plaza Encarnacion for about 7 Euros. Or if your bag isn't too heavy, it is a direct 15 minute walk:
Just exit the station and cross at the traffic lights on your left side. At the other side of the road (Street Arjona) turn left and walk until you get to a big open plaza. Cross the plaza and take the street on the left of the NH Hotel building, named Alfonso XII. Follow this street straight for about 10 minutes, you will pass by Burger King and McDonalds and you can't go wrong. You will arrive to Plaza Encarnacion, you´ll see a big construction work on your left, go right, next to the church at no. 29 1/2, that is where we are, right behindb the church. Welcome!

From the Airport
There is just one bus that takes to the city. Get off at the train station stop (first stop after the airport, Santa Justa) and walk towards the entrance of the train station. Turn left and cross the parking and you will see the bus stop for bus 32 on Street Avenida José Laguillo. Then follow the directions above 'from Santa Justa train station'. A taxi to Plaza Encarnacion will cost 25 euros, plus an extra charge for luggage.
