We just came back from an outstanding week staying at the Ocean View Cottage. Mahindu and his wife run this place, it is right on the beach at a slightly quiter part of the beach but only a very short walk to all the nightlife and great restaurants.
The cottage is wonderful for familes and we went as a group of 12. There is a great pool on the premises that is clean and really nice as a change to the ocean.
Surfboard and Boogie Board rental is very close and very cheap. The owner will also organise very reasonably priced tours, tuk tuks etc and generally cant do enough for you.
The rooms are all clean with options for fan or fan and a/c and fresh lined is provided daily.
Meals at the hotel are very reasonably priced although the menu gets a bit limited after a few days.
Overall, 10 out of 10 and we plan to go back and stay there again next year.

About Ocean View Cottage

Situated in the south coast of Sri Lanka in a city called Hikkaduwa, we have 12 large rooms with hot and cold water shower. All the rooms are with mini bar. and air conditioned..2 rooms are in ground floor.

Our garden leads directly to the beach and 5 rooms are in first floor and other 5 rooms are in 2 nd floor on the upstairs level with wonderful sea view. We are well recommended by world famous travel guide book The Lonely Planet.

We offer an A la carte menu in our restaurant and room service is on request. Beverages are available at the mini bar and throughout the day in the restaurant and garden.We have a large shady garden with sun beds which leads directly on to the beach.swimming pool also available

If you feel yourself in need of rest and relaxation than our guesthouse is the ideal location for you. we collect

you from air port for reasonable price,any other taxi services also available.
