A very cozy and friendly hostel run by an Australian and Swedish couple.

We also have a choice of 4 bed ,6 bed, or 10 bed private self-contained apartments available nearby.

You can choose to have breakfast included with your accommodation or choose self-catering. There is a fully equipped kitchen for guest use as well as a TV room for relaxing. The lounge room has A DVD player with a selection of films for your enjoyment and has beautiful views of the lake and mountains. It is also newly furnished and decorated. The guest kitchen adjoins the lounge room and has a breakfast table taking full advantage of the views.

A newly built section opened in March 2006 ! This has now become our cafe-restaurant with beautifully made and scrumptious home baked cakes and meals. With Wi-Fi internet access available, it's perfect to relax and catch up with home or business.

A new outdoor ' barrel ' 10-seat sauna is another new addition.

There is ample off-street parking and a motor warmer socket available for the winter months.

We have snow scooters available for rental in winter and canoes, boats, mountain bikes in summer.

A Ski Bus can pick you up from the door to take you Tarnaby ski slopes (between 800 and 1500 mtrs away ) or to our sister ski-resort of Hemavan .

Taernaby produced Alpine Skiing Legend Ingemar Stenmark , current Women's World Champion Anja Parson and recent champion Jens Bygmark. It's a small village with a big alpine tradition.

APARTMENT RENTAL :
Generally in Sweden, when you rent an apartment or cabin, you are required to clean it upon departure. This keeps the costs down for you, the guests. However we quite understand you're on holiday and may prefer someone to clean the apartment for you. The cost for this service is between 495 and 995 SEK depending on the size of the apartment and how many guests.
Linen and towels are also not included in the price. If you require linen and or towels, you may rent them from our reception.

Directions to get to our B&B reception ( TLC Pub-Caf' ) and for key pick up for our apartments :
Driving from the South: When you enter T'rnaby on the ' Bl'V'gen / E12 , you will see a ' Statoil ' petrol station on the right opposite the lake. Continue on the Bl'V'gen E12 for about another 1200 meters and you will see our business also on the right opposite the lake.
Driving from the North : When you enter T'rnaby you will be on the ' Bl'V'gen E12 ' . On the left you will see a Toll house ( Tull ) . Keep driving on the Bl'V'gen E12 and you will notice a church on the left after about 600 metres. Continue driving still on the Bl'V'gen for another 500 metres and you will come to our business on the left opposite the lake.

Tarnaby is located in Swedish Lapland about 900 km's North of Stockholm. 350 km North of University City of Ume'. 120 km's south of Norwegian city of Mo i Rana with the Norwegian border only 45 km's west. Only 150km south of The Arctic Circle ! Hemavan Airport is only 17 km's way with 6 flights a week from Stockholm Arlanda. (www.nextjet.se ) We have a guest mini-bus to pick you up from the bus station.
Direct Bus from stockholm ( www. lapplandspilen.se ) Train from Oslo Norway to Mo i Rana Norway ( www.nsb.no )

In T'rnaby our B&B is situated about 500 metres from the village shops and 700 metres from the bus station/post office. The ski slope lifts are between 800 and 1500 meters away. If you don't wish to walk, a Ski-bus picks you up right from the car park of T'rnaby B&B or from Stetind Apartments. ( see pictures for a map to see where our B&B and where our apartments are )
