This hostel is a fabulous place to stay. Cath and Nick could not do more to make you feel at home, and they are theperfect hosts. They are so enthusiastic about their property renovation which is excellent. The building has old world charm but is decked out withmodern facilities. I could not have chosen a betterplace to stay, and I made another friend, Collie the dog.

About Phoenix hostel

Cathy and Nick welcome you to our hostel. You'll find a comfortable bed, good food, lively conversation with fellow travelers and lots of laughter. Phoenix hostel is a carefully renovated "monument of architectural culture", everything you expect from a modern hostel in a unique historic house.

Phoenix is part of an ensemble of "listed buildings" perfectly situated in a quiet street in the old quarter Varosha, but just two minutes walk from the buzzing day & night life of the city and convenient for all the interesting sights.

Newly renovated and furnished you'll find us clean and comfortable, safe and secure and you can be sure we’ll look after you.

We have 3 dormitory rooms with 4, 5 and 7 beds (bunks with a conventional single bed in each room), and 3 shower rooms with 24hr hot water. The 4 bed room has 2 single beds and a bunk and can be booked as a private twin room for the price of 50 Leva.

A welcome drink, bedding, towels, showers, breakfast, a great communal kitchen (spice shelf, tea, coffee, mineral water), book exchange, games, Internet and Wi-Fi (but no TV), information corner, advice on what to see and do, and more, are all included in one price.

This is our home and we hope it will feel like yours too.

All our dorm beds are the same price. At 20 Leva per night (approx 10 Euros). The 4 bed room booked as a private twin room costs 50 Leva per night.

Location Information

We are 5 minutes walk from 'Mother Bulgaria Square' or the main Post Office. Follow the main street towards the old town (if you look up at the houses on the hill in front of you, you will see our big green wall). Just after the main road bends to the right take the first left into the 'Halitey' car park. From the center of the car park you will see a cobbled street leading uphill to the left (Mednikaska Str). 50 meters up this road take the steps on your right and we are in front of you at the top, by the statue of Petko Slaveikov.

OR

From the centre of the car park take the second left cobbled street (Dragoman Str) and walk uphill for 70 meters.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 Days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the full cost of the reservation. Deposits paid are non refundable.
