This hotel is a very good choice for any overseas travellers on a budget as it offers very nice and spotlessly clean rooms at a reasonable price - at least for Switzerland, which I found to be extremely expensive otherwise.

About Pension Marthahaus

You'll be sure to feel at home in our tastefully renovated guesthouse, which dates from the turn of the last century. Our 40 individually appointed rooms in light colours convey a rare sense of charm. We offer a choice of single, double, triple and four bedded rooms with a choice of ensuite or shared facilities.

We are set in a quiet location in a city quarter with some rooms facing the inner courtyard. We offer a television lounge, hair dryer, cooking facilities, laundry facilities, lift as well as free internet and bicycle usage for your convenience during your stay.

All rates including breakfast.

This hotel is a very good choice for any overseas travellers on a budget as it offers very nice and spotlessly clean rooms at a reasonable price - at least for Switzerland, which I found to be extremely expensive otherwise. The pension has a lot of charm and the facilities are of a good standard, with comfortable beds, great bathroom and internet facilities, free loan bikes etc. The staff were courteous & helpful at all times.

Overall, it's excellent value for money and is in a great location in easy walking distance to the old city.

The only minor area for improvement would be a better variety for breakfast i.e. some hot breakfast options (but given the price I'm not complaining - it's just a thought).

We loved our stay here, the breakfast, included in the price, was really decent and the free use of the downstairs kitchen was a great bonus.
The room was large and comfortable with a TV providing plenty of channels, and the internet downstairs was free.
There were plenty of showers and toilets on each floor to cater for all the guests, we didnt have to wait around for a shower at all.
The building itself is really quaint and the service was terrific.
