About Gasthof Schönegg
Gasthof Schönegg is in the village of Goldswil, near Lake Brienz and just 4 minutes outside Interlaken. The village, with its quaint chalets and grassy meadows, lies on the sunny mountain slopes above the lake and is the ideal starting point for excursions throughout the lake and mountain areas of the Bremese Oberland and Jungfrau Region.
During your stay you will get the 'Interlaken Card' with which you can use all public transportation within Interlaken and surrounding for free and you can profit from several discount offers. For more information please ask at the front desk.
We hope you will feel welcome in our newly renovated country inn, with a large terrace and breath-taking panoramic view. Great Swiss food is served in our restaurant where you can sit and relax in the cosy atmosphere, while taking in the views.
There are 15 comfortable rooms with 30 beds altogether.

20 mins walk away from Interlaken Ost rail station. This was not a huge problem as we took the bus, and the guest house was about 50m away from the first stop. It is not located near the main shops in Interlaken, but situated on a little hill with beautiful views. The hosts were very friendly, place was clean, and breakfast was good. This was the cheapest accommodation I could find on short notice in the whole Jungfrau region, and I was not disappointed at all. The only thing it lacks is a nice open wood fireplace!

The location was perfect. We could see the mountains very well from the hotel.
The breakfast was good because the person was very kind, but we prefer take the things, although it´s the same.
The room was good because it was like the typical house from switzerland, but we found a big spider, but we understand that it´s normal for the place. Don´t worry.

The people who run this guest house are very nice and helpful. However, the location is terrible. You must take a bus that runs only once an hour from Interlocken to get to it. If you have very little luggage you can walk once you know the way, but it is very inconvenient relative to staying in town. The room I had was very cramped (had to put my suitcase on the bed to open it) in the basement with a view of a stairwell from the only window. I hit my head on a cabinet in the bathroom that was poorly placed. I would never stay here again.

breakfast was good. booked 3 rooms with 3 bathrooms ensuite , but got a seperate floor with 3 rooms and just 2 bathrooms. difficult early mornings when there is a big group. Lady owner there was helpful and friendly. Rest of staff not so obliging....view was good.

One of the good hotel I have stayed in.. We totally loved the place.. located just on the outskirts of interlaken..but takes only 5 mins by car to the city center. great view from each corner of the hotel.. managed by a family .. the couple sees to it that u get personal attention.. parking is no problem since they have their own big parking place..

We enjoyed the stay a lot. We experienced homely feeling. The rooms and the hotel looks clean. This is a very good one to perfer with a decent cost. I see a the missing one is LIFT. I found my self difficult to climb two floors. Apart from that every thing is excellent. The location is beautiful, I liked the hill ad river side view. It is walkable from the interlaken Ost station.
