Unfortunately the amneties are a bit run down, and we found a brand new guesthouse next door same price much better value(we moved after one night), though we continued to eat and use there travel service assistance at Sunday. At Fairyland next door the staff are very friendly and helpful, though their english and experience does not match the travel service from Sunday Hotel. I was a 2 timer and slept with both.
cheers robert and son
I personally do not like Phnom Penh but this place was nice to stay at. The room we had (a double) was small ish with a bathroom in it (albeit with no ceiling!), air conditioning and cable TV. There was a nice view of next door's wall from our window and the room was a bit of a prison cell but still comfortable to get some sleep.
The staff were helpful and friendly, there was wi-fi access free of charge in the room and DVD players for hire. You could walk to most areas of the city from the guesthouse but to be honest it's probably less effort to give-in to one of the thousands of moto or tuk-tuk drivers and catch a lift!
A decent place to spend a night or two in this manic city but no more.
This is a Trusted Review. Why?
I was thoroughly satisfied with Sunday Guesthouse after my three-day stay.. Staff were very friendly and helpful, booked my buses and tours and things with no problem whatsoever. The restaurant is very cosy and good value - try the iced coffee!! Moto and tuktuk drivers were hilarious and very friendly and the location was right between two major streets with lots of markets and pretty much everything in short walking distance. I will definitely stay there again on my way back through Phnom Penh!
