Taipei Traveler Hostel is a great place to stay when you are in Taipei. First of all it's right at the city centre beside the Taipei Main station!! This is such a nice aspect because anywhere you need to go is accessible from this place. Second, you basically live on top of a mall and a "dollar store" so if you don't have something they have it and its about 1.25 USD (I bought an alarm clock). Finally the staff are so so nice!! you get breakfast and free wireless....what could be better?!?!
The location is very good, only a few metres to Taipei Main Station Metro, train station, HSR station and public buses. There are also numerous shopping centres and underground shopping streets nearby. We stayed in a private room that is on the 24th floor, two floors away from the main hostel area. Cleanliness of the room is quite ok except for a couple of tiny cockroaches roaming around. Most of the basic facilicities expected from a hostel are present. However, its quite inconvenient to get hot drinking water from the main area two floors down.

Conditions
Clean, bright bunk bed dorm rooms with shower, bath and lockers. Dorms are usually restricted to single sex but exceptions can be made for couples and families. Air conditioning available but please use it frugally!
Single and double rooms also available.

Directions
From Taoyuan Airport, take a bus to Taipei Train Station, which is about 50 minutes away from the airport. Look for the tallest building - the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Building. Key Mall Traveler Hostel is on the 22nd floor above the KMall computer store in the building between the Shin Kong Building and the Caesar Park Hotel. The airport bus runs every 10 minutes between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm. The MRT (subway/underground) runs every day between 5:00 am and 12:00 pm.
