From $10

Located in the popular Wat Bo area this European managed Hotel/Guesthouse offers attractive rooms with ensuite bathrooms, hot water, A/C or fan and cable TV. Most importantly the western style beds provide a good night's sleep, essential after a long day's sightseeing or partying.

Outside there is a secluded garden where you can relax with a cold drink or dine from their extensive menu, all served from the bar by their friendly English speaking Khmer staff.

I think you will agree, whether you are a solo traveller or a large group, Babel Siem Reap Guesthouse offers unbeatable value, accompanied by a broad smile.

An upmarket Guesthouse with a tropical garden. The service and presentation are better than the nearby places Lonely Planet July 2010.

Average gueasthouse, more youth hostel than hotel. It is quite clean but not perfect, so I don't understand why you have to take off your shoes when entering the building!? It is quite far from the old and night market and pub street so it is definitely better to find some other place (there is a plenty of them in Siem Reap) - after my reservation ended we chnaged this hotel and moved to Tanei Guesthouse which was much, much better and within the same price range.

One thing - in my opinion they cheat people claiming they have 'breakfast included' - the breakfast there is a joke - you will get two slices of bread, small butter and small jam (10g). One day they gave me only two slices of bread and said the jam is over (I'm not kidding, the breakfast they served me was consisted of two toast bread slices only) Or you can take a few pieces of fruits which they call 'fruit salad'. You should see the faces of guests who have seen their breakfast for the first time... So you have to add 2-5 USD to the room price because you will have to buy a real breakfast.

Everything went fine, the guest house is well organized and clean, the room is big and comfortable. It's just a bit far from the market area where most of the food places are....

Babel Siem Reap Guesthouse is a jewel nestled among the many guest houses available. Excellent, pleasant, eager to satisfy service, a lovely little cafe that made it easy to eat before leaving for the day, and not worry about hunting for somewhere to eat, clean and tidy, lovely environment. This is a small guesthouse with three floors (you have to climb stairs) and basic, but excellent services. If you want "luxury" go somewhere else. You will find those types of places much more expensive. We would definitely go back, and we do recommend it to friends.

We were really well looked after, especially when my boyfriend was ill. The staff are lovely and I learnt lots about Cambodia from them. It was easy to sort out a tuk tuk to the temples and it was near enough town to visit bar street but not have to hear it when you want to go to sleep!
