This is a Trusted Review. Why?
The Guest house is ran by Sin, she is very friendly, as are all her staff and they really looked after me. They all speak good English along with French and I will definately stay again when I return to Chiang Mai.
The rooms are basic but secure and the new building is of a high standard but more expensive to stay in. They offer all the usual treking and various activities for the area but do not push or persuade you to do any.... more

Our guesthouse is comprised of 3 buildings, 10 metres apart, conveniently situated in a small lane in the old part of Chiang Mai. We are just a 5 minute walk from Tha Phae Gate.
One building is a traditional Thai teak wooden house, and has shared bathrooms. The 2nd one has private bathroom with hot shower. The new one (2008) has balcony, bathtub and you may have TV and refrigerator. All rooms have a fan and may have A/C. Our restaurant is also located in this building. We serve delicious Thai and western food at reasonable prices. We also cater for vegetarians.
Our other building is modern - each room having its own bathroom with hot shower. All rooms have a fan and some are also available with air-conditioning.
We organise trekking tours to our exclusive area north of Chiang Mai. A variety of other areas are also available. A licensed TAT-approved guide is included in the price, as is food, accommodation, and insurance. Backpacks, mosquito nets and sleeping bags are also provided, as is a safety deposit box for valuables which you don't want to take into the mountains.
We also have a visa service for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and are licensed travel ticket agents.
We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and do our best to make sure everyone enjoys their time with us in Chiang Mai.

Location wise, they are very central in within the walls of the city, close to bars, cafes etc. I would definately recommend Yourhouse Guesthouse to the budget minded traveller.

We are near Tha Phae Gate in the old part of the city (i.e. inside the square delimited by the moat), very close to the UN Irish Bar. Please call us on 053 217492 if you need more detailed directions.
It's probably best to take a taxi or tuk-tuk to get to us from any of the major arrival points in Chiang Mai.
From CM International Airport: We are a 15-20 minute taxi ride away. The airport is situated to the SW of the old town.
From Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Station: We are a 10-15 minute ride away, across the Mae Ping River. This bus station is to the East of the old part of the city.
From Chiang Mai Railway Station: We are a 10-15 minute ride away, again over the river. The train station is to the East of the old part of the city.
