The River Garden is a lovely, cosy retreat - a small, boutique hotel that is ideal to rewind after a long day of sightseeing in Siem Reap.
Stayed at River Garden for four nights and had booked the Khmer cottage and bungalow. The bungalow is a cosy niche and I enjoyed staying there. Other pluses of the hotel is the restaurant with great food, nicely presented by the friendly staff and the common room with the movie and book collection.
The place also organizes tours and the private car with guide option is comparatively cheaper and better value for money than the all inclusive accommodation+tour package.
The only downside of the lovely place is that it is filled with mosquitoes and the so-called river is more of a canal running across the road.

Initial thoughts were very quaint, interesting location "further afield" but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of down town Siem Reap. Service was friendly but slow, rooms clean. Other criticisms would be the guest house runs a swimming class during the day which rendered the pool useless to guests and occassionally the water is disconnected making some facilities (toilet/shower) unusable temporarily.
Overall good value and would recommend for an upmarket backpacker but maybe not for grandma and grandpa who like a few basic creature comforts.
Recommend the Tuk tuk service available as the rest of them in Siem Reap may not know the location.

We are 2 minutes ride to shopping, restaurants, the city centre and the old market area.
Flash Packers is upmarket cheap accommodation in the heart of Siem Reap located in The Laneway near Miss Wongs Bar and behind The Temple Club this is a great place to stay and be close to all that is happening.

We are located 15 minutes from the Siem Reap International Airport and within a 5 minutes TukTuk ride to the city center, close to shops and restaurants, and within a 5 minute walk to the Royal Residence, Raffles and the new National Museum, overlooking Siem Reap River.
Best location in town. Best rates in town for this standard of quality accommodation.
