This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I'll start with the good things: Aircon in the dorms, central location.
Now where to begin...when we arrived at El Espanol they tried to overcharge us - I had to point to the price that I could see sitting on their desk for her to acknowledge me and correct her "mistake". Then she gave me the wrong change - trying to give me a 5 instead of a 50. When I showed her she just smiled and gave me the correct change.
Next, the hostel owner has 3 boys under the age of 8 and they basically rule the hostel. They sit on the only computer ALL day and play games. Also, my girlfriend was watching the news one morning while she was having her breakfast and the owner walks in with one of her kids, takes the remote from my girlfriend and changes the channel to some cartoon.
The worst thing that happened was when our dorm room was robbed. Several people had things stolen and when the police came and talked to the hostel owner she told them that she had heard people on the roof that night but didn't think she needed to call the police. Even the police were bewildered with her actions. THEN when we spent all morning giving statements at the police station she tried to charge us a late checkout fee. We refused and left. I would advise against staying here unless you're a sadist and like being treated poorly.
