rooms near the street are a bit noisy because of traffic through the square but the desk clerk changed me to another room near the back and had a good sleep. Good internet connection, very friendly staff, cooking facilities are good also. Only drawback is that it is on the edge of Cuidad Veija which can be a bit dangerous at night. I took a taxi there and the buzzer to let me in was answered right away so was no problem for me.

How to get Here
Its impossible not to find us: We are in Plaza Independencia, which is the most important plaza in Montevideo, were the Government house is located, the Mausoleo al Gral. Artigas, and the door of Cuidad Vieja. All of the Montevideanos know the place and we are in every single map of the city. Just look for Plaza Independencia and you are there!
From the port (Buquebus) we are only a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes by taxi (around 2 to 3 US dollars). From the bus terminal Tres Cruces (which is not necesarily in the downtown area) we recommend that you take a taxi which is easier (4 to 6 US dollars), but if you preffer to save up, any of the buses that go to Plaza Independencia will leave you at our doorstep. From the Airport a taxi or transfer will do.
