About The Raging Elk International Hostel Fernie
The Raging Elk International Hostel is located in the heart of Fernie, famous for its large mountain environment, world class powder skiing, hiking and mountain biking.
NEW this year we have just added a large Canadian timber frame canopy & log patio! ...perfect for apre ski and breakfast in the sun.
NEW also this year is also the Kodiak lounge, the nicest bar in Fernie with backpackers prices.
We have a SUPER LARGE common kitchen... fully equipped, theater style t.v room, pool table & games rooms where we hold regular sumo matches!
The Raging Elk is a five star backpackers & our friendly staff want to show all of Fernies hidden secrets!!
SAUNA, ski shuttle, ski ,snowboard & bike storage and FREE WIRLESS .
Private motel style rooms, semi-private rooms ( sleep 4 with own shower and toilet), dorm rooms (sleep 4+ common showers, toilets).
Winter is a skiers/snowboarders heaven with 35 feet of powder annually, 5 large bowls at Fernie Alpine Resort & 3 cat ski operations. Fernie Alpine Resort offers a variety of terrain and steeps and easy access to back country.
Summer also rocks, with some of the best mountain biking in canada, hiking (without mass crowds & epic scenery), fly fishing (one of the top ten rivers in North America), golf and white water rafting. So as you can imagine, it's second heaven!
