Firstly be clear this is not a major resort hotel on the strip. It is really just a cheap motel - typical USA style motel rooms around a central office area. It is also about 10 minutes walk from the strip, however this involves crossing the entrance / exit to a large interstate - which can be somewhat dangerous.

Firstly be clear this is not a major resort hotel on the strip. It is really just a cheap motel - typical USA style motel rooms around a central office area. It is also about 10 minutes walk from the strip, however this involves crossing the entrance / exit to a large interstate - which can be somewhat dangerous. You also need to walk through an underpass under one of the interstate exits to get to the Excalibur at the top of the strip - this was to say the least dodgy at night with down and outs living in the underpass
I should also say the Wild Wild West is very cheap - only around £20 per night - which is half the price of anyrthing on the strip itself - the rooms are ok with colour TV, somewhat primitive but adequate aircon and bathroom. The walls are just plasterboard however and due to the cheap price, you get a lot of people staying there that wouldnt be allowed into the resort hotels on the strip - so dont expect peace and quiet and dont expect much or any sleep - but then again should you really be asleep at night in Vegas !
Would I stay there again if I could afford the Excalibur / Tropicana etc ? Definitely not. Would I stay there again if it was the only way I could afford to stay in Vegas ? Yes.
Finally please note that the hotel levies a $6 hotel charge per night on top of the bill and a further 10% hotel tax. My expected bill through the travellerspoint.com was about $100 but after the taxes and surcharges the bill at check out was 50% more.

You can take the 'Bell Shuttle ' to our hotel. Exit at door #9 on lower level at Airport, and tell the driver to take you to 'Wild West Casino Hotel' we are very close and the charge is $6.50 per person
Or see our web site for 2 cheap options (less then $1.75) from airport, or Greyhound Bus. Use public bus 108 from Airport, its a straight run and take 4 minutes and cost $1.75
