About Hollywood and Highland Hostel and Hotel
Welcome to Hollywood and Highland Hostel! We are located right on the world famous Hollywood Blvd.
It is a new year and if you haven't visited our hostel yet, you are in for a treat!! We have brought the Hollywood flavor right in with new decorations featuring Hollywood stars.
We have created more four bed dorms so you can have space in the rooms. Bring your groups here. Stay the night or stay with us long term, we give you the options for a pleasant stay.
Although not free, our Wi Fi is reasonable. We have a TV room with satellite TV which offers all the major Movie and Sport channels and it has two comfortable couches for your viewing pleasure. Our kitchen has everything you need to cook something and enjoy our morning (free) breakfast and our smoking patio will accommodate the cigar and cigarette lovers.
Our friendly staff can guide you to all of the hot spots in Hollywood.
Our check-out time is before 10 am and the front desk is open daily from 7am to midnight. However, there is no curfew here.
We are located two blocks from the red line Metro station and are on the direct bus lines on Hollywood Blvd, so we are well served by local transportation. We are also close to the grocery stores, restaurants, clubs and of course right on the Walk of Fame.

RSSI booked this hostel and was so disappointed. Firstly, it was difficult to find the hotel as according to the directions on the website, it states that itare opposite the Kodak theatre - the hostel opposite the Kodak theatre is the Hollywood International Hostel. I arrived at the H&H hostel later in the afternoon on 13th April, only to find that there was no-one who was able to check me in, let me into my room, sort out locks etc. The manager had left a notice stating that they would be back in 10 minutes, however I waited about an hour in total whilst trying to sort the situation. Eventually someone tried to call the manager on his mobile but the manager didn't answer or return the call. I had been travelling for several hours and wanted to simply check in, take a shower and go and get some dinner, however with no-where secure to leave my bags, this was an impossibility. There was no lock available on the room that I was shown as the manager had taken all of the keys. The people at the hostel did not have any keys to the rooms and the cupboard-area in the room I was shown had the hasp broken off, so it would have been impossible to lock anyway. The hotel was pretty filthy (it was smudgey grey all around the door handles where grubby hands had been pushing them open for many months probably with no cleaning, there were fresh (and dried) coffee dribbles all around the sink in the room I was shown and hairs in the shower (ick!). The manager did not show up whilst this was ongoing, and I ended up leaving the hotel for alternative accommodation, which luckily I got down the road.
As a single female traveller, I thought this quite disappointing and potentially dangerous, if there had been no secure alternatives available in the local area.
I e-mailed the manager about the situation and received a torrent of abuse in return - if you have any sense, stay away from this place!
