The front desk manager (Kerry) was very rude, made me change my room 3 times. The third room that I stayed was very old, ugly and hot, nothing good like these pictures. No lift, do not recommend.

We ARE Venice Beach! Inside the famous Botticelli on roller skates building at the heart of Venice Beach. Enjoy amazing sunsets & muscle beach from our ocean front lounge/bar and feel at home with our charming international staff. Minutes from LAX, steps from the beach. Lots of free stuff too!
Over 25 years of experience, we have private and shared rooms, some with partial or full ocean view. Our reception is open 24 hours with excellent building security.
In our bar you will find great people to hang out and party with and in our kitchen you will find FREE coffee & tea. All beds are made with fresh linen and towels. We help with car rental discounts and have daily door-to-door tours to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Movie Stars Homes, Getty Museum & Magic Mountain. We also provide FREE boogie boards, basketballs, football and paddle tennis.

This was the best location you could hope for, but the facilities were apalling! The staff tried their best to help however, they had notices on the back of the door about not being able to bring your own bedding (eg. sleeping bag) -- but they had NO blankets to provide!! We had a sheet and that was it. Baaaaad. On the other we had an ensuite room, the bathroom was great (for a budget hostel) and the view was amazing. We requested a room overlooking the beach and the outlook was far better than we expected. The moral of the stay: BYO blanket in winter, and it was VERY basic so don't expect a high level of cleanliness!

I found the staff to be extremely friendly and very helpful i ave been to a lot of hostels all over the world and this was as good as any hostel i have stayed in , it is in a perfect location right on venice beach which is a vibrant and interesting area of the coast of LA. i would fully recommend staying here and if i venture this way again i will be staying here for sure :-))
