About Appartement Qualitas Hostel
We're located just between the Olympic Stadium and Old Montreal, only one metro stop from the village. Welcome to our green hostel!
Our hostel offers private rooms, three-bed apartments and dorm rooms, cleaned daily. Private rooms come with double beds (not singles), with each bed accommodating two people. The dorms and twin privates have single beds.
We have lots of free stuff (except breakfast) - free linen and towels, local and some national phone calls, Internet, fax receptions and phone/email answering service, luggage storage, DVD rental, soap, shampoo, conditioner and slippers and sandals! This is a no-shoes hostel.
Our fully-equipped kitchen has a cooker, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee-maker, rice cooker, dishes, pans, utensils, table, chains, salt, pepper and more. There's also a TV, shared bathrooms, and a clothes line to hang your laundry on.
There is a night-time security guard on the women's dorm floor. Nearby is a 24hr bus terminal connecting to the downtown area, a sports centre with a free indoor pool, and laundry facilities within a minute's walk.
If you stay for 32 days or more, you don't pay any taxes!

Conditions
We have a 48hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first two night's accommodation, but we will offer you a credit for the same price or cheaper for free next time.
There is a $10 administration fee to modify your booked dates, by written confirmation only.
There is no lockout.
We recycle here!
Children sharing a double bed with parents are only $16/day; please notify us after booking to arrange this.
Our green hostel donates to two non-profit organisations - the Movement for True Global Democracy and the International Ethical Certification Committee. This is a no-shoes facility.
This is a non-smoking hostel. Please note that if you smoke in a non-designated area your booking will be cancelled immediately.
In case of mistake and disparity between the Internet price and office price, office price will prevail and we will tell you within 24 to 48 hours after the reservation on line with the correct amount and then you could choose to confirm or cancel the reservation.
Copy of visa for Canada will be required for some nationalities to confirm the booking.

RSSFor the value, it's pretty good - cheap and you get what you pay for. TV in the room, bed's comfy, community refrigerator and bathroom.
The general location is essentially the slummy outskirts of Montreal and this isn't exactly advertised. It was okay because I was there with 3 other people but if I was alone I would have felt very uncomfortable walking around at night.
What's really unnerving about my time there is how strange the stay was. The guy who runs the place is very soft-spoken and that's not exactly a positive. Despite having booked one room for 4 people, the room we got was entirely different looking and only had 3 beds. Rather than pay the extra $25 dollars a night for an extra bed, two of us shared a bed during our stay. Of course, right BEFORE check-out, the manager comes down and tells us that the charge wasn't for the extra bed, but for the extra person. Despite his repeated insistence that he was extremely clear about that fact, he was, in fact, very unclear.
The other extremely strange aspect of the stay was these signs that the manager had posted EVERYWHERE. Reviews we read before booking the room really understated how weird/funny they were. Most of them were instructional, but for very weird things, like taking a shower or wiping your ass. There were others that served no point but to further the man's environmental agenda or whatever. We actually managed to find a personally written manifesto on how to fix the world's environment.
