It is a great deal at Thunders and Tinas place! I can absolutely recommend it. Both are helpful, nice and welcome you very warm. The rooms are clean and special, every room has TV and wireless internet access.
You can easily walk the distance to the beach, it takes you only 3 minutes to go to the nearest beach and 10 to the big one where you can snorkel (to see turtles), kite or what ever you want to do.... more

About 40-45 minutes from the Airport, an hour or so from Town, Honolulu, which is the U.S.A. 11th largest city, on the same side of the island as Makaha, just South West. If you decide to take THEBUS...they only allow backpacks, no Luggage, cost is $2.00 each way, take the 40C, to the Waianae Coast, just about 1/2 block walk from the Airport to Nimitz hwy, cross over to the Mountain Eastside of Nimitz and take the 40C to the Waianae Coast, about 1 hour by bus, must have exact change. It is a great deal at Thunders and Tinas place! I can absolutely recommend it. Both are helpful, nice and welcome you very warm. The rooms are clean and special, every room has TV and wireless internet access.
You can easily walk the distance to the beach, it takes you only 3 minutes to go to the nearest beach and 10 to the big one where you can snorkel (to see turtles), kite or what ever you want to do.
From the airport you can reach the place by bus (40, 40a), it takes you about 2h.

PRIVATE ROOM FOR 1 IS A HAMMOCK
No Security deposit or Cleaning fee is required. I do it myself, except once a week I have a maid come in and do touch-ups. We've created a million dollar bungalow, although we don't charge like it. Our desire is to show Aloha and share our love of the Islands with you. All that we ask is Aloha in return.
Transportation to and from the Airport is $40.00 each way, regardless of the amount of luggage.

Out of state Id or Drivers license is required, which will be photo copied. A Key deposit of $50.00 for the steel door Dead Bolts, returned on your departure.
We also have for our guest community boogie boards and surfboards and two Kayaks for guest use at no charge.

IMPORTANT:
PRIVATE ROOM FOR 1 IS A HAMMOCK
From Honolulu, go to the Ala Moana shopping Mall. Hawaii's largest four story mall just North of Honolulu. Go to the West side of the Mall, or also Ocean Side. You can catch/take the Country express Bus, #40 or the other Bus #40, which will bring you all the way on H-1 freeway, West to the Leeward Coast or also known as the Waianae Coast.
Take this all the way almost to the end, you will now be in the Country, H-1 will turn into Farrington Hwy which runs right along the Ocean. Once in Makaha, you will see a 7-11 on your right, just across the street from the Makaha Shopping center, our small mall which has internet access/cafe, Laundry, Food, Fitness center and Tourist shopping.
These businesses will be on your right, on your left will be a 24 hour Restroom and Shower on the Ocean, just 100 yards north, on the Left, again Ocean side, you will see a small 100-200 foot high Point, right over the Ocean, next to it, will be the Tallest Buildings on the Waianae Coast, again on your left, on the Ocean. The first is the Princess, about 15 stories, next to it is the Cabana's, about 10 stories, both are high end Vacation Rentals, or Condo's with 24 closed Gate Security.
Just past the Cabana's, on your right is a street Called Jade, a bus stopped next to Jade, take a right on Jade, you will be within 10 seconds from us. Generally, just call me from the pay phone @ any of the 7-11's on the Waianae Coast and I will pick you up, preferably, the two in Waianae, or the last one in Makaha. Ask any Bus driver, just tell Him/Her you want off at the 7-11 in Makaha, near the Princess and Cabana's, they are very helpful.
From the Airport, just ask anyone where the Aloha or Hawaiian Airline baggage claim is, it's right next to the main Oahu Post office at the Airport. Walk east from the sidewalk, past Aloha Airline Baggage first, then Hawaiian Airlines Baggage, across the painted crosswalk, East, the Post office is on your Right, keep walking East about 50 Yards. You will come to Nimitz Hwy. At this point, you want to cross all the way East so instead of Heading South on Nimitz Hwy, you are going Left, West which takes you to the Waianae Coast. From there, again, just stay on the Bus, tell the driver you are going to Makaha and want to either be dropped off at the 7-11 in Makaha, or across from the Princess and Cabana's.
About a one hour ride from Ala Moana Mall near Honolulu.
About 40 minutes from the Airport.
