This is really a cool hostel, the new creative check-in system is just like playing a treasure finding game! I think this place is even more than a hostel. It also trains you to self-discipline and resolve the problems independently. It is in a very convenient location and has complete equipment, including kitchen, laundry, WiFi and bicycle... you just can't miss such a cool place and a self test!
The self check-in system is AMAZING. As I said, 90% of my time is spent away from home. If all hotels had this system in place, it would ease the weary traveller... It's also attractive for the business traveler too.

NEW YORK -- Self-service kiosks in hotel lobbies, which let travelers bypass the front desk at check-in, will eventually help hotels stem rising labor costs by enabling them to serve guests with fewer staff.
Hilton was the first to launch the kiosks early last year. With 102 kiosks in 42 hotels, they have so far been 'very successful,' Hilton spokeswoman Kathy Shepard said.
Hotels have been introducing self-service check-in in large, urban areas that cater to business travelers, already comfortable with the convenience of express checkout. 'Clearly the business traveler is an earlier adapter of self service,' said Tom Conophy, chief technical officer at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, ... Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis and W Hotels.
If front desk staffing is cut back, those employees will likely be 'repurposed' into serving guests in other ways, Conophy said. 'We would look at staff we have now take on different roles, such as lobby ambassadors.'

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE
NOTE: Please do not knock on the door after 10 p.m. (people may be sleeping).
1. PARKING: You can park on the concrete parking lot (west side of the building). If the parking lot is full, park on the street in front of the building (on 800 South). Please do not park on the driveway.
2. MAIN ENTRANCE DOOR: Walk up the handicap ramp (on the west side of building). The door will be on your left side. Only use the side entrance door- the front entrance doors are not key less.
3. ENTRANCE CODE TO BUILDING: (((((( 4152 )))))) Enter the code, and then turn the knob right.
4. IMPORTANT SIGNS: Please read and follow all the signs throughout the building.
5. CHECK-IN COMPUTER: Turn on the check-in computer, and then enter in your booking reference number to get your room number and key box combination. NOTE: If you don't have your reference number, then you can use the check-in computer to log in to your e-mail account and get the reference number.
6. LINENS: The bed will be made with clean linens, or the linens will be on top of your bed.
7. TOWELS: The room has one or two towels; you can rent extra towels for $1/towel from management or the evening concierge.
Check in to the building ONLY AFTER 3 p.m.
Check-out of your room no later than 10 a.m.
If you need to extend, please E-mail us 24 hrs in advance, so we can check availability.
If you call and get our answering machine, then please checkout and wait in the lounge until we get hold of you.
$5.80+ LATE CHECKOUT FEE
After 10 a.m. you need to checkout of the room and the building. We need to get everything ready for our guests that will be checking in later in the day. We charge an extra $5 + tax and fees, for every additional hour you stay in the building (before 11 a.m. = $5.80, before 12 p.m. = $11.60, etc.
CARDS NOT ACCEPTED

When you get to the Inn, there is no need to pay us directly. We have already authorized payment on your card, which allows you to check in to the room by yourself.

KEY SAFE / HOW TO OPEN YOUR ROOM DOOR
Your room has a key safe with a keypad. The key safe is attached to the side of the entrance door, and the key is inside the box.
The door will not open automatically. To open the door:
1. Push in the buttons corresponding to your key code, slide down the OPEN button, take the lid off, and then use the attached key to open the door.
2. To put back the lid with the key, push in the buttons corresponding to your key code, slide down the OPEN button, and then put the bottom of the lid in first.
NOTE: If you make a mistake, press the CLEAR button on the bottom.

I.e. if you want to leave early, or make a mistake in your on line booking they will charge you the full price of the original booking. no allowances for leaving early which i think is very unaccomodating to travellers.

A nice hostel, very well equipped, in a good location. Very thin walls but the you get more than expected for 35$ per night. We will happily go back to Camelot Inn & Hostel
