Filled with good vibes seekers from all over the globe, the Montreal Youth Hostel is a melting-pot of everything travellers are looking for in a youth hostel.

HOCKEY LOVERS ask us about our hockey tickets. We have tickets for every home game. Regular season 2009-2010 starts again this Fall! GO HABS GO!!!

***Please note that the rates quoted on this page do not include the sales taxes and are based on the reduced rate for HI card holders. An extra of 4.25$ per night for the dormitory or an extra of 10$ per private room per night will be charged upon arrival for the non-members.

We are centrally located in downtown Montreal where all the action is. Even on week nights, the night life here will please everybody. Oh yeah.. we have no curfew!!! So feel free to live the night life to the fullest!

We also have a café-bar on-site where you can enjoy breakfasts and dinners or simply having a drink while chatting with travellers.

The hostel friendly staff will be more than happy to give you tips on what's going on in Montreal, on where to go out and on how to say useful stuff in French or even better… where to eat the best poutine in town! Prepare your liver it will be a meal to remember!

We also organize a lot of activities and outings like our everlasting bar tours, walk on the Mont-Royal, bike tours + so much more depending on the season and what is going on in Montréal at that time.. There is always something happening in Montréal... don't you worry. We also bring you to see local bands or special shows...Everything To Make You Feel Like A Real Montrealer.

So come on and visit us… we are very fun, loveable people and oh yes… clean too!!

Directions

Montreal is served by one airport: Trudeau Airport (former name: Dorval International) at 22 km (14 miles) west of downtown. It serves most domestic, U.S., charters and overseas flights.

Taxi
The current rate is about $38 to Trudeau Airport. Prices are explicitly posted inside all taxicabs.

Shuttle
Shuttle bus service runs from its terminal downtown bus (514-842-2281) with stops at Central Station (trains and the Queen Elizabeth Hotel) and several other downtown hotels including the Montréal Youth Hostels before taking the highway to Dorval. Prices are lower than taxis ($17 one-way trip).

From the bus terminal:
Take the subway (direction Côte-Vertu) and get off at Lucien-L'Allier station. Go right on Lucien-L'Allier St. to Overdale Ave. (1 block) and turn left to the hostel.

From the train station:
Take the subway (direction Côte-Vertu), get off at Lucien L'Allier station and follow the above directions to the hostel.

DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO GET THE YOUTH HOSTEL FROM…

From New York State
Take Interstate 87 North to the border: 87 will become Hway 15 north. Take the 15 North to Champlain Bridge. Across the bridge, take Hway 10 West (Bonaventure Hway) and follow the signs for Downtown. Hway 10 west becomes University street. Go streaight ahead on Universtity to Maisonneuve Blvd. turn left on Shervrooke street and when you get to Mackay Street, make a left; we are located at the end of Mackay.

From Vermont or Massachussets
Take Interstate 89 North to the border: the 89 will become Hway 133 North and then Hway 35 North. At the jonction of Hway 10, take the 10 West to Champlain bridge. Across the bridge, keep Hway 10 West(Bonaventure Hway) and follow the signs for Downtown. Hway 10 west becomes University street. Go streaight ahead on Universtity to Maisonneuve Blvd. turn left on Shervrooke street and when you get to Mackay Street, make a left; we are located at the end of Mackay.

From Ontario and other points west
Take the Hway 401 East to the ONTARIO/QUÉBEC border. The 401 will become the 20 East. Keep going until you reach the Jonction of Hway 720 East. Take the 720 East to exit #3 (Guy Street). Turn right on René-Levesque and after 3 blocks turn right on Makcay Street. We are located at the end of Mackay Street.

From Ottawa, Hull or Wakefield
Take the Hway 417 East to the ONTARIO/QUÉBEC border. The 417 will become the 40 East. Keep going until you reach the Jonction of Hway 13 South. Take the 13 South to the jonction of Hway 20 East. Follow the 20 East to the jonction of the 720 East. Take the 720 East to exit #3 (Guy Street). Turn right on René-Levesque and after 3 blocks turn right on Makcay Street. We are located at the end of Mackay Street.
