This is a Trusted Review. Why?
My overall feeling about this hostel was that it was ok, but has a few flaws that may bother some people. First, the good points. It is really well located right next to Pike Place and smack bang in the middle of downtown seattle. The staff were friendly and helpful. In the rooms each bed has a reading light, a fan and a few power points, plus you have your own security locker which is pretty spacious. Each bunk also has a private curtain which is pretty handy if you want to sleep early or something like that. On the other hand, the bunk beds were unbelievably narrow, even as a thin guy it was hard to be comfortable and they are rather high - getting into one is quite awkward and possibly a little dangerous if you're trying to get down that ladder in the night. Breakfast is included and a few things were laid out included eggs that you had to cook yourself - a good idea in theory but it's not a real big kitchen. The hostel felt a bit cramped and I didn't feel it was particularly good value and the narrow, cramped room was quite hot and a bit uncomfortable. However, there aren't that many cheap options in seattle.
This hostel is in the best location! Right accross the road from Pike Market. The staff are friendly and helpful, and organise some fun events for the guests. Free breakfast every day is AMAZING and free dinner 3 times a week is also a bonus - not many hostels provide this! I only had a couple of small gripes which where the noise from the street (but with the location it can't be helped!) and there are a few weirdos that stay there, but aside from that has been an awesome pleasant stay!
