After 26 hours of travelling this place is exactly what we needed. The room was really nice, staff friendly, it seems like a real backpacker hostel.
We had a private double with an ensuite. The room was clean, we slept well (we even ordered pizza to the hostel which was fine).

City Hostel Seattle is located in a newly renovated 1920's hotel, so character runs rampant through our halls! So do Mae West and Humphrey Bogart, in art form as this historic hotel used to house all the movie stars back in the day! Brand new bathrooms and kitchens. The rooms are designed and painted by over 47 different local Seattle artists!
Come appreciate and take part in our Art Hostel, open minds are a must!

After 26 hours of travelling this place is exactly what we needed. The room was really nice, staff friendly, it seems like a real backpacker hostel.
We had a private double with an ensuite. The room was clean, we slept well (we even ordered pizza to the hostel which was fine).
It's in a really great place, basically bang in the middle of the Pike Place market and the Space Needle (within walking distance of both).
I would definitely stay there again.

This is one of the best hostels that I have ever stayed in worldwide! The staff was AMAZING, the facilities were clean and cared-for, the location was outstanding, and the overall vibe was sssooo chill. If you are looking for a clean, cheap, fun hostel, this is the place for you. I will have pictures and video of the hostel up on my Travellers Point blog soon, so be on the look-out!
On a side note, the total that I was given when I booked through Travellers Point was slightly less than what it actually cost. Apparently, the 9.5% room tax is not collected until check-in. This is in no way a negative aspect of the hostel, it is just something to be aware of when booking.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at City Hostel Seattle. After communicating with you further it is clear that the additional amount you were charged was the 9.5% state tax, which is added on at check in.
The 10% deposit you paid is deducted from the total booking amount and no property on Travellerspoint is permitted to charge this money again upon arrival.

I had an AMAZING visit at City Hostel Seattle. Everything about it was awesome, I was able to rest easy in a comfortable, clean environment for the 3 days I was there. The staff were very accomodating when I had questions. Everything about this place was just fun! The location is right downtown, close enough to walk to many of the city's points of interest, and to any other necessary ammentities.
The owners live right on the property and you can tell they put their heart and soul into making this place great for guests and for their staff - they are like a big family.
I highly reccomend City Hostel Seattle. I will definitely go back.
