The room was lovely - spacious, clean and well lit. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Only annoying thing was that the wireless didn't work, and the shower wasn't very hot. Other than that, a great place to stay. Close to the metro, as well as shops and restaurants. Good value for money.

Very nice people work there, they are very kind and helpfull.It's important to know there is not open 24 ours to organize your arrive.
great place to stay, prime location, lovely atmosphere
It was very clean. The keeper works really hard and she does a good job. Also she was the most kind worker in Gallery Inn.
THe breakfast was not that satisfactory - just a toast and a jam or butter or a portion cream cheese. But nearly all DC hotels are serving this type of "continental breakfast(don't know where it came from- nobody from the continent eats this way)" if they serve any, so you can't really complain about it.
The location is quite convenient. It was close to DuPont circle metro area with a lot of dining places and bars, and also close to Adams Morgan with bars and clubs.
Me and my friend stayed in a room with 6 beds and a shared shower, and we found out that it is not that comfortable. I think the price is not cheap for the setting. But everything in DC area is so expensive that you may think this is an affordable choice.
If you are considering to stay in this hotel and if you have questions, don't send emails because they NEVER respond to emails! The only way that you can get the answer is to make a call.
There is a guy at the front who has a temper. During my staying his mood was variable - sometimes he was nice but sometimes he was quite vicious. If you are not lucky enough you may end up with having some unpleasant experience as me.

Great to stay here. The room #9 we stayed was perfect clean and beds were so comfortable. Some cons were that the room was more or less small but considering room charge, there was compromise. Last but least, managers were very kind. We came to love them. Caution : If you bring your car, be cautious of parking. Police love giving tickets when you park at restricted area.

It´s really a very good place. An amazing neighborhood (full of cafes, bar & restaurant) and easy way to buses and metro (No more than 15 min to the national mall)
Also in a 20-30 minute walk you go to foggy (GW university) and U Street (a lively night area)(

From Dulles airport, take Metro bus 5A to the Rosslyn Metro station, then take Metrorail to the DuPont Circle station.
From Reagan National airport, take Metrorail to the DuPont Circle station.
From Baltimore-Washington International airport, take Metro bus B30 to the Greenbelt Metro station, then take Metrorail to the DuPont Circle station.
From AMTRAK's Union Station (also very near is the Greyhound bus station), take Metrorail to the DuPont Circle station.
At the DuPont Circle station, exit at Q Street and walk north on Connecticut Avenue, 20th Street or 19th Street until you reach the Gallery Inn Hotel.
