Do not book any city tour here! You will not get a certified guide, but a young lad barely speaking English who cannot tell you anything about the places and museums you are visiting. As we were in a small group of 4, one would expect transportation to be easy. But no - we ended up being brought by taxi (waiting long time every time we needed to go to the next place!) and in the afternoon by an almost wrecked private car. Of course only after we fought for our afternoon program to be actually followed!-/
So, as typical for most things in Hanoi, no honest service!The hostel itself is well located and otherwise ok. Staff was ok and could fix it fast when there was trouble with the water pump.
Do not get the room on the top floor because it's very noisy thanks to the water storage (pump at night!) right behind the bathroom on the roof.
