About NgocThao GuestHouse
NGOC THAO Guesthouse was opened in November 2006 and has been recently renovated. It is friendly, bright, clean, hospitable, and family run. But we have just renovation in May 2011.
Located in a quiet alley off Pham Ngu Lao street, in the heart of Backpacker area in District 1.
We have 12 rooms. We have different kinds of room according to your budget (single, double, twin, family room for 3 persons and 8 beds mixed dormitory).
Double room is 1 double bed King size private ensuite.
Twin room is 1 bunk bed private ensuite without window.
Family room is 1 double and 1 single private ensuite with window.
Mix dorm room for 8 persons is 4 bunk beds with balcony at 5th floor.
Every room has air conditioning, ceiling fan and cable TV with more than 70 channels. Most of the rooms have a fridge.
Our rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels are provided.
***** BREAKFAST is included in the price between 6:30am and 10:00am daily. In addition we provide free internet, and WiFi in every rooms is also provided with fast internet for personal computer.
Free drinks.... 24 hours.
Besides, we're ready to provide many services such as pick up and drop off at the airport by taxi, information about the city and tours, money exchange, laundry and baggage storage.

Airport transport transfer great for our first night in the country.
We stayed here few times. The staff were always friendly and helpful! We totally enjoyed the breakfast (especial the pancakes
)) and also the fruit in the morning!
so we recommend to stay there and have a good first impression from saigon/ho chi minh city in a cute family-alleyway guesthouse!

My wife and I stayed here for 6 months while working in HCMC. Great place with very friendly staff and it was like staying in a family home. If something needed fixing it was seen to promptly, and we enjoyed many treats as long term guests. Being in the heart of the backpacker district it's handy to all the entertainment and only a few minutes walk from downtown. Wonderful place to stay and I thoroughly recomend it to anyone.

My friend and I were booked for two nights (Sept 8-10) and had a very pleasant stay. We had gracious hosts, the location of the guesthouse was great, and our trip was basically hassle-free. The pancakes which we have read about in some of the reviews did not disappoint.
They were kind enough to give us a map of the city since we had barely time left to do the city tour. The little things that they did for us mean so much. Will recommend this place to our other friends.

Tuan organised collecting as at the airport as we wanted to dodge the agro on arrival. Clean basic rooms for about $10 per night, based at backpacker central... Tuan organised our Cu Chi tunnels tour. Free internet downstairs - people there friendly. All good. Stayed 3 nights.

I booked for 5nights and stayed for 7 as i found it to be clean ,friendly and good value.It has a family atmosphere which i like rather than just business approach.It's position is handy to the city so everything is a short walk to food and cafe's.
If you are on a tight budget it might not be your place to stay but if want somewhere to stay without any hassles i would recomend it.
iWill be back in 2months time and will be staying there again.
