This hostel was in a fairly good location, just a short walk from Cardiff city centre (though we were greeted with a blank expression when we asked for a map of the city). The bed linen in our room was a nasty brown colour, possibly to distract from the fact that it hadn't been changed before we got there (pubes on the sheet). Also, the beds were horribly uncomfortable. The kitchen was adequately equipped but the breakfast was awful.

This hostel was in a fairly good location, just a short walk from Cardiff city centre (though we were greeted with a blank expression when we asked for a map of the city). The bed linen in our room was a nasty brown colour, possibly to distract from the fact that it hadn't been changed before we got there (pubes on the sheet). Also, the beds were horribly uncomfortable. The kitchen was adequately equipped but the breakfast was awful. Even though it was free and our funds were limited, we ended up going into town for breakfast as couldn't face eating it there. The shared bathrooms were vile - the floors were drenched and filthy and the shower was dirty and didn't smell good at all. The bathroom window didn't close so there were some issues with privacy, especially as said window was directly above the toilet and looking on to the street. Leave your modesty at home! Overall, I think that this hostel was greatly over-priced for what we received. If it had been cheaper I might not have been so annoyed about the things I've mentioned. It could have been worse but I think it would be worth shopping around a bit before booking here. I've stayed in loads of hostels in different countries and this is one that I wouldn't go back to.

the only thing i could say is that the beds have been a little bit uncomfortable, but for my short stay and for this price and the rest of the good things i liked it very much!

We are located at : 11 Howard Gardens.
From the A4161, the Newport Road, take the 1st left onto Howard Place. Follow that road around and it runs into Howard Gardens.
