Directions

From Tietê or Barra Funda Bus Terminals

These Bus Terminals – in Portuguese Terminais Rodoviários – receive most of the interstate bus traffic. Both of them have Subway Station wich you should take to Vila Madalena Station.
Arriving at Vila Madalena Station, you can walk until the Hostel (about six blocks) or take a taxi, will be about R$10,00.

From Guarulhos Airport

1) Airport Bus Service: this service is available near the main exit and there are two options: the Urban Line or the Executive Bus.

Urban Line: Take the bus until the Shopping Mall called "Shopping Metro Tatuapé"- it's the final destination and the fare is R$3,40. From there take the subway to Vila Madalena Station (green line), you have to change trains at Sé Station (red line) and Paraíso Station (blue line). Executive Bus: Take bus '#1 - Guarulhos - Circuito dos Hotéis Paulista/Augusta'. Tell the driver you want to get off closest to 'Av. Dr. Arnaldo' (it's better if you have it written or printed). A good reference for this bus stop is Av. Paulista. When the bus makes a U-turn while on this Avenue, this is your hint. At the end of Rua da Consolação (about one block from where you got off the bus) you'll see the Subway Consolação Station. Take this line (green line) until Vila Madalena Station – the final destination.
