The location was the only slightly positive thing going for this Youth Hostel. Even though it was the LP's pick, our experience was dreadful. I stayed there with my family (8yr old and 5yr old). We were refused the room we wanted and were only allowed to take a more expensive room. The toilet door did not lock, the water heater plug was dodgy, the toilet flush was broken etc. We were given a must unwelcome reception.

When we will be out ,it is difficult to fand a place as a home.a quiet place in noisy city,a sunshine garret in underbrush.xinjiang Maitian international youth hostel is located in the centre of urumqi,the traffic is so convenient,so it is the first youth hostel which own the fashion culture .there are so many shopping centres near by the red hill park which is the symbol of urumqi,about fifteen minutes you can get to the most classical bazaar in xinjiang by bus.next you can walk to may first evening market,which is the most national place in xinjiang,so you can tast so many nosh all over the xinjiang.of course ,the bank, post office, cinema,bus stop near by.so it's so good for you.

We were refused the room we wanted and were only allowed to take a more expensive room. The toilet door did not lock, the water heater plug was dodgy, the toilet flush was broken etc. We were given a must unwelcome reception. We left early and checked into the nearby Super8 motel which cost us 20 Yuan more and included breakfast in a new clean and comfortable hotel.
