We are located in downtown Rossland, British Columbia, a 7 and a half hour drive from Vancouver and Calgary, and just minutes away from world famous Red Mountain Resorts.
Rossland itself is famous for the deep gold deposits discovered in the crater of an ancient volcano here in 1890, as well as for being the home of the 1992 Winter Olympics.
The two mountains towering over Rossland ( Red and Granite) offer some of the best runs for both hard-core and intermediate skiers/boarders, made up of pure natural Kootenay powder, 2900 vertical feet, over 1200 acres of skiable terrain and a cheap lift ticket.
The hostel is a 3 minute drive from the main lifts and minutes away from heaps of Bike trails. We have 7 rooms total,2 private and 5 dorm style rooms

Leaves Fruitvale, Trail & Rossland in the morning; leaves Red Mountain Resorts at 3:45am for return trip.

Taxi - Approx $40.00 from Castlegar airport to Rossland.
Driving:
Rossland is located off highway #3b between Calgary and Vancouver, just 10 kilometres north of the Canada/US border. From Vancouver take highway #1 eastbound and follow it onto #3 until the turnoff for 3b. From Seattle take highway #5 north then turn onto #2 eastbound. Take highway #25 northbound, cross the border just after Northport and continue on up to Rossland.
From Spokane, Washington Rossland is 210 km due north via US Highway 395 through Chewelah and Colville, turning right on to Highway 25 at Kettle Falls.
