We almost missed the ryokan when were looking for it as it is located in a narrow street. However, it's a great location. Very close to everything that is to be seen. The people at the ryokan were very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to see our futon set up for us every night. I would recommend this ryokan to anyone.

About Kikunoya

Internet Access

Kikunoya is a Ryokan which word means traditional Japanese style Bed and Breakfast in the centre of Kanazawa.

We are located in a convenient location for sightseeing and entertainment.

Traditional, third generation, family run business, friendly and homely.

All our rooms are traditional tatami which is a Japanese style mat rooms and futon sleeping beds.

(Breakfast costs additionally 1,050 yen)

Traditional and typical house made Japanese breakfast are served every morning upon your request.

Parking available 1,000 yen/car (between 4:30pm to 10:00am).

Kikunoya is located in a calm lane with a pretty stream nearby (only few min by foot) to many attractions.

We don't have an on-site laundry, but for a simple washing item (like a T-shirt), it would be a pleasure to help you.

We loved our stay at Kikunoya. Two little hassles - firstly, maybe some information when we arrived (maybe a written note) to explain about using the bathroom. Secondly, we weren't aware that we could only pay by cash, which created some awkwardness as we were leaving. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

From JR Kanazawa Stn: 10min by Taxi, 3 min by walk, 15 minutes by bus to get to the bus stop 'Korinbo, Daiwa Dept Store', when you get there jump off.
*From Komatu Airport: take the 'for kanazawa City' Bus, it's just 45 minutes to get to the bus stop 'katamachi Raburo', jump off when you get to the bus stop and we are a 3 minutes away.
