The lodge has spacious living areas with long tables and a sunken open fire and "love-pit" - the ultimate place for meeting people, having a few beers or watching Freeview or videos on the high-definition digital TV. Ease your aching muscles in the 2 person sauna after a hard day of skiing; relax on the sunny verandah reading books and having a cuppa; make friends over a game of pool; cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen and let the dishwasher do the rest; tune up your skis in the tuning shed; check your emails with wireless (15mins free) or our internet kiosks

Choice of private double/twin rooms or 5 to 7 person dorms, or contact us about booking into our popular stylish bedroom apartment. The bathrooms were renovated in May 2011 and now boast a gas hot water system.

Pinedale's the only hostel offering personalised mountain transport to Mt Hutt, Porters, Mt Cheeseman, Mt Olympus, Christchurch airport/city or day trips (additional charges apply). We're only 10 minutes drive from the base of Mt Hutt Ski Area and a 5 minute walk away from Methven's eateries, bars, shops etc.

Helpful staff will make transport arrangements and give tourist info to ensure you make the most out of your stay in Methven. Plus there are heaps of guidebooks to borrow or swap.
