Overlooked by the spectacular Cuillin Mountains, Glenbrittle Youth Hostel is a great place to spend a few days.
A fantastic base for walkers and climbers, or just sit back and enjoy this wonderful rugged scenery. You can see waterfalls, lochs, and the Islands of Rhum, Eigg, Muck, Soay, Canna and Uist, all without taking your hands out of your pockets!
The hostel is a Norwegian-style wooden building with a self-catering kitchen and dining area, ideal for exchanging your mountain adventures or just meeting fellow travellers.

Check out from 7.30am to 10.30am
The hostel is partly closed between 10.30am and 5pm and at 11.30pm at night. For daytime access please contact the hostel directly.

By Bus:
Please note there is no bus service to and from Glenbrittle. The nearest bus stop is in Carbost, approx. 7 miles from Glenbrittle, limited bus service only.
By Train:
Nearest station Kyle or Mallaig.
By Car:
A87 towards Portree. Left at Sligachan on the A863 towards Dunvegan. Left at Drynoch on the B8009 towards Carbost and Talister Distillery. Left before Carbost on unclassified single track. Road to Glenbrittle 7 miles from junction.
On Foot:
Walk over the Bealach from Sligachan about 3.5 hours. Or from Carbost along the road, 7 miles
