the location is very convienient for the main Istanbul attractions, however i found the rooms dark,grubby, and not particularly user friendly. the bathrooms too cramped and not very practical as they combined toilets with open rather then enclosed showers, there was no hot water to the bathroom sink, the tap leaked badly the staff did nothing about it, in terms of value for money i would only rate it below average. the t.v had poor reception, a/c was good,but noisey, the breakfast was basic, some of the lighting did not work, i don't think i will go again unless i am desperate!

The location is great, very near to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, located in Sultanahmed. The service is great and the manager was very helpful. The breakfast was edible and OK, nothing too much. However, the room was very small, this was really disappointing. Luckily we didn't plan to stay in the room all the time, only spent times in the room to sleep at night. Had a look at the room on the way to breakfast, and found that most room are of the same size.

Very helpful and pleasant people. Dıd try theır best. Fantastıc posıtıon near Blue Mosque etc and plenty of reasonable restaurants. Quıet partly because of the modern double glazed wındows. Good to have an elevator. Breakfast adequate. Had one problem ın that the water stopped runnıng ın the area for most of two days. The hotel could have helped us more re thıs dıffıculty. We are goıng to stay agaın soon.

Wonderful friendly staff, who will send free tea to your door, and always help you carry your luggage. The room looked common and rather small at first glance, but bed is super comfortable and bedsheet is snow white (which doesn't normally happen for budget hotels). shower is good too. they have a nice roof top, which makes perfect breakfast place. breakfast is a small buffet, everything is fresh. we liked the place very much.

If you are thinking about staying in Sultanahmet and have a budget, then the Meddusa Hotel is a must. The location is great and the service A+. The staff are very accomodating and often offer help beyond their duties. The rooms are all en-suite and come with a TV with many local channels. The hotel also boasts a terrace area on the top floor, which at night provides a great view of the Istanbul skyline. Overall Rating 4/5.
