We are chartered as a resource for students and foreign travelers. Due to our limited amount of space, we require that upon check-in each guest must provide a valid foreign passport. US residents must present both a valid out-of-state student ID and government-issued ID showing that you live outside a 100-mile radius of Philadelphia. US residents without valid student identification will not be permitted to check into the hostel and will be charged as a no show for blocking a bed.

You must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or a school-appointed chaperone. No children under 8 years old are allowed in our dorm room, no exceptions.

There is a 14-day maximum stay for all of our guests.

We are affiliated with Hostelling International, so if you don't have a yearly membership you will need to pay the $3 daily membership. Yearly memberships can be purchased for $28 and include a coupon for one free night when staying 3 nights or more at an HI hostel in NYC, DC or Boston among others

Receive a $2 discount per night with your ISIC card.

If you're a man and woman traveling together you should know that we have a Couples-only (mixed) dorm room that we don't always list on this site. If the two of you have each booked a bed in male and female dorm rooms, email us right away so to see if there's availability to be moved over to it. Private rooms may also be available, but at a higher rate.

Men are not permitted in the mixed dorm room unless traveling with women. Women are always allowed in the mixed dorm room.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Really friendly staff. Good events for meeting other people. Would have been nice to have an elevator to use. Washrooms could have been cleaner, water pressure in showers sucked. Loved the free wifi in rooms. Location was alright, could have been more central. Having to get the new codes each day was annoying. Big rooms with many people was a bit impersonal. The room temperatures were a bit cold to sleep in at night. Additional unexpected charges aswell was not delightful.
