good rooms-friendly helpful staff-good internet facilities and lots of different areas to spend time in-pool table and ping pong a hit-very good location-a very nice way for us to be introduced to china-our group was me amd 3 children and my 76yr old mother so suits all ages!!!!

About Le Tour Traveler's Rest Youth Hostel

YHA Le Tour Traveler's Rest Hostel is located in the downtown area of Shanghai and is just 10 minute's walk from the Subway (JingAn Temple Station and Airport City Terminal). Shanghai Exhibition Centre and former French Concession are all within walking distance.
Nearby Nanjing West Road is a busy main road with offices, shops, restaurants and pubs. However the hostel is set back in a quiet residential side street away from the hustle and bustle. The building itself was built in the 1930s and is a former Towel Factory that used to supply towels to almost every family in China. When renovating the building we tried to salvage and re-use as much as we could from the old building much of the furniture, flooring and panelling that you see in our guest rooms and common areas are made from the original timber.
We can offer accommodation in double rooms, twin rooms, apartment rooms and shared single-sex dormitories. The hostel offers a lively, vibrant atmosphere and has a Café and Bar, 24 hour access, free internet, bike hire, laundry, luggage lockers, garden, TV/DVD lounge, Table Tennis, Billiards and a quiet reading room. Also, at our reception there is a Travel Center, where customers can book flight and train tickets, as well as tickets for local one day tours and acrobatics shows, and much more besides

The twin suite has been my favorite room so far while traveling in China. Good layout, includes a desk, phone and ethernet hookup. Soothing green color scheme and Parisian feel. We found a cockroach in the bathroom when we first got here, but no problems since. Provides linen and shower shoes. Staff is helpful and friendly, and location is 10 minute walk to the subway and near plenty of restaurants for meal options.
Very helpful staffs. Cozy environment. Skip Suzhou day trip...con by some monk at our last destination. Informed the management, hope they will change tour agency.

Scheme 1, take airport shuttle bus line 2 to JingAn Temple Station, walk along pedestrian between JingAn Temple and City Plaza Dept Store, walk to the north along Jiaozhou Road for 10 minutes to our hostel;
Scheme 2, take Meglev to Longyang Road Station, transfer to Subway line 2 to JingAn Temple station, exit form Exit 2; walk along pedestrian between JingAn Temple and City Plaza Dept Store, walk to the north along Jiaozhou Road for 10 minutes to our hostel.
From Hongqiao Airport
Take Airport Shuttle bus to Jingan Temple Station; walk along pedestrian between JingAn Temple and City Plaza Dept Store, walk to the north along Jiaozhou Road for 10 minutes to our hostel.
From Shanghai Railway Station/Shanghai Coach Station
Take bus 113 at the south square of Shanghai Railway Station and get off at Beijing West Road Station, walk along XinZha Road to the East, turn left on Jiaozhou Road and keep walking for about 3 minutes to our hostel
