Welcome! Hostel Casa Ciudadela is your place in Costa Rica. Located in the city of Heredia, one of the favorites and safest places to live in the country.

An excelent point for you to stay if you visit Costa Rica. From our hostel you can easily visit the capital San José or travel to some of the most exotic mountains and beaches in both, Caribean sea and Pacific ocean.

Casa Ciudadela is an old and confortable house located in the colonial city of Heredia, approximately 20 minutes by bus from the capital. Known as the "city of Flowers,', Heredia and its surrounding areas provide all the conveniences of a medium-sized city. in an environment which has escaped, to a large extent, the normal urban problems affecting the capital.

It is and an important cultural center for Costa Rica. Furthermore, much of Heredia has managed to retain a typical Latin American 'pueblo' feel despite increasing modernization.

The colonial church and it's plaza are still a favorite meeting place for Heredia's inhabitants, old and young. In Casa Ciudadela hostel you will find the perfect place to spend the time of your life in Costa Rica

We are located just 4 blocks North and 25 meters East from Heredia´s Central Park (El Fortín) or 25 meters East from Colegio Vocacional.

The bus stop to the international airport is 2 blocks from CC Hostel, and it´s the same bus stop you have to get down if you are comming from San Jose. (Gimnasio Liceo de Heredia Bus Stop).
