The Digby Backpackers Inn is a small friendly hostel, located right in Digby, walking distance from boardwalk, fishermen's wharf and restaurants. Digby is located right on the Bay of Fundy, with its highest tides in the world. Be amazed by beautiful scenery and historical places that form the foundation of Canada as it stands today. Annapolis Royal, Canada's oldest permanent European settlement and former capital of Nova Scotia, can be reached by local transit.
Bear River is a stones throw away and represents unique architecture, a large artist community, and an impressive native interpretive center at the native reserve just outside of the village. Finally, Digby is your perfect stop-off point on your way to some of the best whale watching in North America, right in our area!

Check-in from 4pm to 21.30pm - later check-in by reservation only, check-out by 10.30am. Luggage storage available.
Arrivals after 21.30pm must reserve to ensure someone will be present for check-in. No check-ins after midnight unless due to unforeseen circumstances (e.i. car break-down)
Early arrivals: check-in based on availability, luggage can be stored in the meantime.

From bus stop
Acadian Lines has a daily service from Halifax to Digby. From the busstop, walk up Warwick Street (away from the water). The second street on your right is Queen Street, there's a Robin's Donuts just on the corner. Walk down Queen Street and you will find us almost at the end on your right hand side.
From Saint John ferry
The ferryterminal is approxmately 6 km outside of Digby. Go all the way down Shore Road and follow the sign 'downtown Digby'. On your righthand side you will see Queen Street. You'll find us on your lefthand side.
