Charley Johng's Dune Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay. The only thing I don't like is its bathroom, but I guess it's about the same everyhere in China.
Mr. Chang is very warm and helpful. He spent nearly half day to book the flight tickets for me, and also showed m some secret trip.
The guest house itselt is about 30 minutes away from downtown. I found it's bearable.

Attractive traditional house, located at Dunhuang country side which is just near the famous Dune desert. Our gusets can enjoy running & walk, hiking , see sunrise and sundown. You can also watch the star just at the hostel's garden or backyard at night. It is only 10 minutes away from downtown!

Charley Johng's Dune Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay. The only thing I don't like is its bathroom, but I guess it's about the same everyhere in China.

The guest house itselt is about 30 minutes away from downtown. I found it's bearable. Only if you go there by taxi after arrival at the trais station or airport, many taxi drivers don't know the location. It's next to Ming Sha Mountain (Shan), which is a big bonus for great scenery.

From long distance bus station: take No 3 public bus (outside the bus station) to terminal (last station) and then follow the sign , walk about 10 minutes to our hostel

From airport: hire a taxi ( it costs around RMB 50)
