About Dilettante's Hangout

Located just 5 minutes walking distance from the town square of Cesky Krumlov, right above the Plesivec Stairs, secluded within the island of the old Plesivec Square,

Dilettante's Hangout is NOT A HOSTEL, but a home to an eclectic and eccentric performance theatre and cabaret artist, poet and painter Maty Dio, offering three non smoking en-suite accommodations for the vacation rental, Nirvana Boudoir, Buddha Suite and Cave Room.

Dilettante's Hangout is filled with art and original paintings and sketches line the walls.

Nirvana Boudoir:

The king sized wooden chunky colonial Mexican four poster bed, two large comfortable leather chocolate coloured armchairs, massive wooden Spanish wardrobe and the exotic oriental coffee bedside table blend beautifully, creating a cozy, comfortable double bedroom.

En suite bathroom is mosaic tiled and spacious, offering a bathtub with a shower, extra-large sink, toilet and a bidet.

Bedroom window overlooks the patio garden.

Nirvana Boudoir has no kitchen facility, but it does have a kettle, cutlery, cups and glasses.

Linen and towels are provided.

Nirvana Boudoir is available for both single travellers or couples at 790 Czech Crowns per night per room, inclusive of tax.

Buddha Suite studio apartment:

The standard double sized wooden/metal bed, massive Spanish wooden wardrobe and chunky bedside tables turn the ground floor into a comfortable studio apartment.

Custom designed two way open hearth fireplace faces the chunky chocolate brown three seater sofa and the bed ideal for relaxing on those chilly days.

Kitchenette is equipped with a toaster, coffee maker, fridge, cutlery, glasses, cups, plates, small cooker and a kettle.

En suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, sink and a toilet.

Two large windows overlook the patio garden.

Linen and towels are provided.

Buddha Suite studio apartment is available for both single travellers or couples at 890 Czech Crowns per night per room, inclusive of tax.

Cave Room:

Cave Room is a spacious, basic and simple basement bedroom for one person with a cave like environment. It is UNSUITABLE for those with a walking disability or for elderly.

The sleeping area is standard double sized.

Custom designed egg shaped open hearth fireplace faces the coffee table and a two seater settee.

Cave Room has no kitchen but is equipped with a toaster, cutlery, glasses, cups, plates and a kettle.

En suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, sink and a toilet.

The bedroom area has 2 small windows and the bathroom has one small window.

Linen and towels are provided.

Cave single bedroom is available at 445 Czech Crowns per night per room, inclusive of tax.

PLEASE NOTE again, Cave Room is located partially underground in the oldest area of the house, and it has to be reached by walking down a steep set of stairs. The bedroom due to its location has little natural sunlight, although plenty of lamps are provided. Wifi signal in this bedroom is low due to its location, but you can catch the better signal in the hallway or outside, in the patio.

If you are looking to stay in a hotel or hostel type accommodation, you will be disappointed, as this is my private home, there is no reception, no receptionist, no curfew, no standard hotel/hostel services, but I will personally ensure and that whatever your needs are, they will be met.

Should you not meet me, due to my schedule of performances, shows and public appearances, my family will attend you in the best way they can.

Please advise me about your approximate arrival times, Dilettante's Hangout is very small and very personal, hence I plan my days according to the time tables and guests' arrivals and around my out of town shows and performances and my children's activities.

Cash payments on arrival - only local Currency - Czech Koruna. Due to having only three rental accommodations with a capacity of 5 persons, I do not accept credit nor debit cards.
