With 4 star English Tourism Accreditation for campus accommodation, the village is set within a tranquil environment and enjoys a landscaped central meadow, pond and beautiful 19th century farmhouse. Reading somehow combines the relaxing tranquility of the English countryside with a dynamic urban environment.

Reading Summer Village offers en-suite single and twin bedrooms arranged into 6 person, self contained flats with a shared fully fitted kitchen and dining facilities. The shared kitchen includes a dining table and chairs, fridge, freezer, oven, grill and hob, extractor hood, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, plenty of storage space, and kitchen utensils.

The halls are furnished to a high standard and every bedroom at the residence benefits from a fully fitted en suite shower room and toilet. Every room has good storage, a study workstation and chair, a standard single bed with underbed storage (Note: no under bed storage in twin rooms), a wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, bookshelves, pinboard and plenty of electrical sockets.

All bedrooms and kitchens have fire detectors which are connected to the central fire alarm system.

Reading Summer Village offers excellent value accommodation at a budget price. The village also benefits from a launderette, CCTV security as well as easy access to good local amenities.

Please be advised that the following conditions apply when booking this accommodation:

Our reception is open between the hours of 08:30am and 12:30pm; and between 13:30pm and 17:00pm, Monday to Friday. Check in is from 14:00pm on the day of arrival and check out prior to 10:00am on the day of departure. We recommend that you aim to arrive during reception hours. If however you should find you are unable to do so, please contact us at least 48 hrs prior to your arrival.

Linen and towels are provided and rooms will be cleaned once a week

Once your initial payment of 10% has been made using our confirmed online booking system, within 48 hours The Summer Village will contact you via email and will deduct the remaining 90% of your booking from your credit or debit card.

Please note: There is a 3% charge when booking with a credit card.

You will be advised as to how you can collect your keys.

Directions

Situated approximately 5 miles from Reading mainline train station and located next to the University of Reading Main Campus.

Bus links to the University and the nearby Reading Summer Village are good. From the town centre and the railway station bus numbers 9, 12, and 20 should be used.

Both black cabs and private hire/mini-cabs are available in Reading. These can be found outside the main station and in the centre of town and should cost approximately £8.
