i loved the friendliness of the hotel and i believe that is something that they pride themselves on. nearly everyone that worked there was very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. there was one guy on the desk for two days, i didn't catch his name but he was scottish and in mine and my boyfriends opinions very rude, i wouldnt return to the hotel lafayette for this reason. that and the electricity kept cutting off causing the air conditioning unit to shut off each time

The small and friendly Hotel Lafayette, with its 17 comfortable rooms, is situated in the heart of Nice, close to the department stores, pedestrian streets, the beach, the old town and the Casino.

Single room= One double bed

Double room= One double bed

Twin room= Two separate beds

Triple room= One double and one single bed

Quad room= Two double beds

Newly renovated spacious rooms with bath or shower, wc, TV, telephone, safe, hair dryer, air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi.

- From the airport

The distance between the airport and the city centre is about 8 km (5 miles).

During the day time busses leave to the city centre every twenty minutes. To reach Hôtel Lafayette take the bus to the Gare Routière and step off at Place Masséna.

Taxis are available at the airport : the address of Hôtel Lafayette is 32, rue de l'Hôtel des Postes. The fare should be around 30-35 EUR (may 2008).

- From the railway station

To walk to Hôtel Lafayette takes about 20 minutes.

By bus : take bus 12 and step off at the stop called ' Victor Hugo ', on avenue Jean Medecin.
