Margaret Island is located between Buda and Pest right in the centre of the city on the Danube, and consists of a large green park used by everyone as a relaxing, recreational and outgoing area. The island is surrounded by a superb cushioned running track, and in the park you can find a swimming pool (200 metres from the hostel), a water park with slides and a wave pool (500 meters from the hostel), thermal bath, football field, mini zoo, open air theatre with concerts, an open air cinema and all the space you could wish for an active stay.

You will find the hostel 600 metres from the Margaret bridge, on the eastern bank of the island. We are located just beyond the musical fountain, next to an open air bar (Sark Kert), on the first floor of the kayak-canoe sports club building.

We have 3 dormitories: two mixed and a female dorms. In each of the dorms there are bunk beds, lockers and a fridge. In our office there is a well equipped kitchen, and drinks are also available...

You can enjoy your whole day on our huge terrace (120 m2) overlooking the Danube river. Non-stop ship-spotting if that is your thing! At night the island turns into a place for party animals. There are 4 outdoor bars with different styles, and a grill terrace as well.

****The hostel is facing the PEST side, right next to the river, 5 mins walk from Margit Hid!!! *****
and 30 mins walk from Aprad Hid <--- don't go from there to us!!! unless you want to explore the island!

From MARGIT HÍD (BRIDGE):
- If you are coming off the pest side of the bridge make a right. Once you see the fountain stay to the right, by this point you will see HOSTEL spray painted on the sidewalk.

From NYUGATI STATION:
- take the bus No. 26 for three stops, till HAJOS ALFRED USZODA
- turn right on the walkway, towards the river
- at the 2nd cross turn left and in 50m you find us on the right side -- SIGNES ON THE GROUND!

From KELETI STATION:
- take the underground M2 (red line) to DEAK FERENC TER (three stops)
- change to M3 (blue line) for two stops to NYUGATI STATION (see above)

Please be aware public transport last metro and tram is around 11.30pm.
From the AIRPORT:
take the Airport Minibus (HUF 2400) or a cab to NYUGATI STATION ( than see as above) or to the entrance of the island at Margit híd (bridge). Please note that the island is only accessible by walk or public transport (bus no. 26)

Please also be aware the last metro and tram services is around 11.30pm. So if you will be arrived later than 11pm at night, please contact us for further instruction.
