This is a good option for budget travellers as Catania can be so expensive. The location is good, very near to the main square. We had a bit of trouble finding it when we arrived, as there is no sign, only writing above the buzzer.

About B&B Antico Teatro
The B&B Antico Teatro is inserted in a 17th century building. The structure is restaured with good taste to give comfort and hearty reception. Rooms furnished to a high standard, bathrooms are all private and balconies give on Via Vittorio Emanuele in front of Greco Romano amphitheatre (Duomo 200 m), a wonderful sight in the centre, close to other monuments that you can visit.At night time you can enjoy Catania's big movida (pubs, restaurants and discos).Please advise about arrival time.Check-out: before noon. This is a good option for budget travellers as Catania can be so expensive. The location is good, very near to the main square. We had a bit of trouble finding it when we arrived, as there is no sign, only writing above the buzzer. We couldn't work out how to go inside, so if you arrive I recommend that you straight away call the owner, as he does not live there. He will then come and let you in. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, the only problem was the shower in the bathroom which leaks water onto the floor a lot so that the bathroom was often flooded. There is air-conditioning which was definitely a relief as we retreated to our room in the hot part of the day. I would recommend this for you if you want a comfortable place which isn't too expensive.
