Really great little hotel in a superb location. Room was clean and tidy and all we needed. It worked out as £25 per night which i have had better for but we had 4 in a 6 bed room so if your room is full its great value.

I would 100% go back and stay here for a cheap weekend away!

About Damhotel

The Damhotel is a typical Dutch-style hotel/hostel which is located right in the heart of Amsterdam, just 3 minutes walk from the Amsterdam Central Station.

The hotel/hostel offers rooms for 1 to 9 persons with attractive prices. Our multi-lingual personals are looking forward to serving you and provide all the necessary information about our lovely city. Please note that the reception is located on the first floor of Damrak Street No. 32.

Reception desk staff will be happy to assist you in arranging various excursions including Amsterdam Canal boat tours, exciting trips to the typical Dutch village Volendam, excursions to Madurodam (the Miniature City) and much more.

We are looking forward to having you in our hotel/hostel and will make your stay as pleasant as possible.

when u arrive there u no its a hole straight away but are stll shocked when geting to your room with two sets of bunk beds and a tolit and bath complete shit hole, my friend went home earley one ngt and seen two mice.u might think that is bad enough but we were charged over a 1000 pound for these two rooms I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN ITS FKING ITCHY

Hotel address: Damrak 31.
The first night we stayed in a 2x6 m room in 6 persons.. The room stinked of toxic fresh paint. The beds were laying directly on the floor. There was a very little washbasin neither useful to wash one's armpit. The toilet was shared with other room of the hallway.
The day after they settled us in a real six persons room with a non-shared toilet.
Total amount due: € 780. Period: 31st December 2009 - 1st January 2010
We don´t recommend to let there stay neither your dog!!!!!!!!!!!

Appalled. Flea bitten - with photos to prove it - and moved from single bed up on 4th floor to bunk bed room right over Damrak and all its attendant noise right beside reception and all its attendant noise. When I requested that I had no wish to stay on scratching my way through another sleepless night there was similar disinterest in my plight -"and where had you come from sir?" in tones suggestive that I had carried the bed bugs in with me!Only offered last 2 nights' cash of a 5 night stay, and a deposit that was kept.
Also internet NOT throughout hotel, but only just around the reception area.

Frankly would not send my dog there, although if covered in fleas he may feel well at home at Damhotel.

Disgusted.
